Happy Friday Everyone

Brittany and I just got back from a CRAZY night out on the town. We went to Costco where we bought the fabulous cookware you see above, and I purchased some lovely flowers for my lovely Brittany.

The flowers were not near as fun to give to her, because she was there, but she does such a great job putting them all over our apartment I couldn't resist.

The cookware is a little bit different story. We have been doing all of our cooking in a frying pan, and a sauce pan since we got hitched. Doesn't sound too crazy, but when you consider we enjoy Mac n' Cheese and some other dishes better prepared in something that can actually fit the boiling water and the food. Pretty exciting.

More Information About My Infection

I got the call from my doctor telling me what the infection is exactly. I did some quick research if anyone is interested.

It is called a MRSA Infection. Click the link to read about it on the Mayo Clinic Website

The good news is I no longer have to take two antibiotics, but the bad news is I still take the one that makes me most naseaus, dizzy, and sleepy. Good times, but way better than the alternative.

Good News! ! ! kinda

Guess what? It was not a spider bite. The doctor thinks it is a staph infection. So I got a shot in the hip, and I have to take two different anti-biotics until Monday; which is when the culture (sample of the leaky stuff) should be back from the lab.

When I was told it was a staph infection (cellulitus more specifically), I didn't think it was that serious. Apparently I was wrong. I was told by a few different people that if I had let it go untreated I my leg would have had to be amputated! Are you kidding me? Well I am grateful beyond words for Brittany, who told me I had to go see the doctor. The ladies at the doctors office told me I owe her a nice dinner for taking such good care of me. Britt is pretty good to me. I am the luckiest to have her.

Well enjoy the pictures; some of which are kinda grody. Also the black line is the outline of where the infection has spread so far. If it gets worse then I get to worry.

Spider Bite

I think I am a worrier, but I have always felt that I would be better of safe than sorry. I was bitten by something recently, and it has been getting significantly more painful ever since.

I took the liberty of hilighting the stuff I have been feeling, and I tried to get a picture but I only have my phone, and it does not do justice.

The bite of a brown recluse spider leads to a mild stinging, followed by local redness and severe pain that usually develops within eight hours but may occur later. Some reports of brown recluse bites describe a blue or purple area around the bite, surrounded by a whitish ring and large red outer ring in a "bull’s eye" pattern. A fluid-filled blister forms at the site and then sloughs off to reveal a deep ulcer that may turn black.
Generalized symptoms of bites from a brown recluse spider may include fever, nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, joint pain or stiffness, overall feelings of malaise, rash, and muscle cramping or tension.
